From December 2, 2019 through January 8, 2020, English Speaking Nation: Secondary Teacher Trainers (ESN:STT) staff and representatives from the Uzbekistan Ministry of Public Education began recruitment for both Core Teacher Trainers (CTs) and Regional Peer Mentor-Teachers (RPMs). The recruitment efforts reached regions across Uzbekistan including Namangan, Andijan, Fergana, Sirdarya, Kashkadarya, Surkhandaya, Khorezm, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Navoi, Bukhara, the Republic of Karakalpakistan, Tashkent and Tashkent city. A total of 2,000-2,250 secondary school teachers attended 25 informational sessions that were held at the Regional Training Centers and demonstrated a high level of interest in the program.
