Laura Hancock
Laura Hancock is a world traveler and a professional communicator as well as an educator. An EFL specialist, she has worked as an English teacher in Japan, Kazakhstan, Russia, the Republic of Georgia, and the Ukraine. She also served in the US Peace Corps as an English Teacher from 2008-2010 in Kyrgyzstan, where she worked with USAID grants and American Councils' FLEX program in addition to teaching. Laura holds a BA in Government and East Asian Languages and Literatures from Smith College, a Professional Writing certificate from the University of Washington in Seattle, and a CELTA from Teaching House NYC. Her MA in TESOL is from Eastern Michigan University, where she was a Peace Corps Coverdell Fellow and interned with Washtenaw Literacy, working with refugees and incarcerated populations.
