Khurshida Makhkamova is from Tashkent and received her bachelor’s and master's degrees in Theory and Practice of Translation from the Uzbekistan State World Language University. Since then, she has taught at different educational organizations, including the Tashkent Transport Engineering Academic Lyceum in 2003 and the Barkamol Avlod Youth Union in 2004. She has earned several awards throughout her career. She has been an English teacher at State Specialized Secondary School #6 since 2015. She also gives extra lessons to students as an after-school activity. As a Regional Peer Mentor-Teacher, she is looking forward to enriching her knowledge of teaching methods and techniques with other Mentors.
