Dr. Tamrika Khvtisiashvili most recently was an English Language Specialist and Fellow in the West Bank, Palestine, where she taught Linguistics and Intercultural Communication courses. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor at Alfaisal University in Saudi Arabia, teaching and directing University Preparatory Program. She received her Ph.D. in Theoretical Linguistics from the University of Utah and University of Frankfurt. She is a recipient of NSF and DoBES research grants. Her research interests vary from language teacher education, linguistics anthropology and intercultural communication. Her dissertation research was on linguistic documentation and revitalization practices of indigenous and endangered languages of the Caucasus.
