Jesse Conway is originally from Stephens City, Virginia, USA. He received his MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from Northern Arizona University where he focused on L2 Assessment, Curriculum, and Program Administration. Prior to joining the English Speaking Nation: Coaches Program, he served as an Associate Professor at Nagasaki University from 2017-2020 where he prepared students to participate in global contexts as the lead instructor of an intensive English for Academic Purposes program. He began teaching English so he could play music in Japan. He quickly realized that helping his students achieve their goals, learning about new cultures, and creating lasting relationships was what inspired him to return to the classroom each day. He has now been working in the field of TESOL for 14 years.
